New Transfer Station in Lakeport

The County-operated Transfer Station on Bevins Street will be closed at the end of the business day on November 28, 2009.

Starting November 30, 2009 all household refuse (garbage) should be delivered to Lake County Waste Solutions located at 230 Soda Bay Road in Lakeport.

The new transfer station location also accepts greenwaste, wood waste, construction and demolition material (C&D), roofing materials, tires, asphalt, concrete, porcelain toilets and sinks, scrap metal, appliances and electronics and other items that the County's Transfer Station could not accept.

In addition, Lake County Waste Solutions operates a CRV buy-back center for payment of qualified aluminum, glass and plastic beverage containers.

This new facility offers convenience for Lake County residents as a "one-stop" shop for all disposal and recycling needs and will add Mondays as an operating day. The fee structure at the Lake County Waste Solutions facility will be the same as the County's Transfer Station of $48.00 per ton. All loads over five cubic yards will be weighed.

The Transfer Station will be open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
