Salvage Shop now open at Ukiah Transfer Station

The Last Stop salvage shop is now open on the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.! It is operated by Solid Waste Systems and is located at the Ukiah Transfer Station, 3151 Taylor Drive in Ukiah.

The resale shop offers a wide range of used (and some new) merchandise that has been salvaged at the transfer station (the "dump") at very affordable prices. Salvaged items may include:

• Bicycles
• Lawn Mowers
• Furniture
• Building Materials
• Shelving
• Doors
• Sinks
• Exercise Equipment
• Wire Fencing
• And Many More Miscellaneous Items

These salvaged materials would normally be destined for the landfill. When they are reused, they are given a "new life" which helps with waste diversion. Reusing materials is one of the best ways to reduce the need for landfills and truly "close the loop".
